Meet The Architect of the
STRATUM Method.
I don't teach you how to write. I teach you how to excavate the truth that's already there.
35+ years teaching people how to solve impossible problems.
Now I bring that same systematic rigor to help serious writers excavate unforgetable characters.
Developed and delivered training programs for Fortune 500 companies, teaching thousands of executives systematic problem-solving frameworks.
Currently completing debut novel Sifre, applying every principle I teach to my own complex characters and psychological depth.
Among the first educators to develop sophisticated AI-coaching methodologies for character development—using technology as Socratic partner, not content generator.
FROM IMPOSSIBLE PROBLEMS TO UNFORGETTABLE CHARACTERS
For 35 years, I stood in front of Fortune 500 executives and taught them something most people think can't be taught: how to solve problems that seem impossible.
Not motivational speeches. Not vague inspiration. Systematic frameworks that worked under pressure, in complex environments, when the stakes were real.
Then I discovered fiction writing. And I fell in love.
But I also discovered something frustrating: most character development instruction treats depth like magic. Like you either "get it" or you don't. Like memorable characters emerge from filling out worksheets about favorite foods and childhood pets.
That didn't match anything I knew about how complex systems actually work.
So I started applying the same rigorous thinking I'd used in corporate training rooms to the characters in my own novel. Not inventing them from questionnaires. Excavating them—layer by layer, behavior to psychology, present to past.
And something clicked.
The characters became inevitable. Their choices made psychological sense. Readers could feel the weight of their wounds without me having to explain them. The depth wasn't decoration—it was structural.
That's when I realized: character development isn't mystical. It's discoverable. And it can be taught systematically to anyone willing to dig.
Today I'm finishing my debut novel, Sifre, about an archaeologist uncovering dangerous secrets at Göbekli Tepe. Every principle I teach in STRATUM, I'm using in my own work. Every excavation technique, I've tested on my own characters first.
I don't teach theory. I teach a methodology I rely on myself.
Because the writers I want to reach—serious, committed, hungry for depth—deserve instruction that treats their craft with the same rigor I brought to teaching Fortune 500 problem-solvers.
You're not looking for tricks or shortcuts. You're looking for a system that works.
