01 — The Parties
Who These Terms Apply To
"We," "us," and "our" refer to Ted Baker, operating under the brand myaiwritingcoach.com, an individual instructor and the creator of Write Living Characters.
"You" and "your" refer to the individual purchasing, accessing, or using the course and its associated materials.
These terms apply to all course purchasers and users, regardless of how access was obtained (direct purchase, promotional offer, or gift enrollment).
02 — The Product
What You Are Purchasing
Write Living Characters: A Fiction Writer's Masterclass is a digital educational course delivered online. It consists of video lectures, written resources, worksheets, white papers, assignments, reflection prompts, and access to AI-powered writing tools embedded in the course platform.
Upon completed payment, you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use the course materials for your own individual writing development. This licence does not expire.
We reserve the right to update, revise, or expand course content at any time. Updates that improve or expand the course will be made available to existing students at no additional charge.
03 — Acceptable Use
How You May Use the Course
Your licence permits you to:
- Watch, read, and engage with all course materials for your own personal writing development.
- Complete assignments and use the AI-powered coaching tools provided within the course.
- Take personal notes and apply the methods to your own original writing.
Your licence does not permit you to:
- Share, resell, sublicense, or transfer your access credentials to any other person.
- Download, copy, reproduce, or redistribute course videos, scripts, worksheets, white papers, or any written materials in any form.
- Use course content to create a competing product, course, or service.
- Screen-record, re-upload, or publicly broadcast any course video or audio.
- Remove or obscure any copyright notices or attributions from course materials.
Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your access without refund.
04 — Intellectual Property
Ownership of Course Materials
All course content — including but not limited to video scripts, recorded lectures, written resources, white papers, worksheets, AI tool configurations, course structure, and the Stratum Socratic Writing Method as applied to fiction — is the exclusive intellectual property of Ted Baker and is protected by copyright law.
Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. Your purchase grants a limited personal licence only, as described above.
Your own original writing created using the methods taught in this course remains entirely your own. We make no claim to any creative work you produce.
05 — AI Tools
Use of AI-Powered Features
This course includes AI-powered writing tools (including the Socratic Character Coach, Flat Dialogue Detector, and Emotional Consistency Diagram). These tools are provided as educational aids to support the Stratum Socratic Writing Method.
- The AI tools are designed to ask questions and surface insights from the writer — not to generate content on your behalf.
- Outputs from the AI tools are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
- You are solely responsible for how you interpret and apply any AI tool output in your own writing.
- Do not submit sensitive personal information, confidential business information, or third-party copyrighted material to the AI tools.
- We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue AI tool access at any time. Where possible, advance notice will be given.
06 — Payments
Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed in US dollars unless otherwise stated. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
Your purchase is complete when payment is confirmed. Access to the course is granted promptly upon successful payment.
Refund and cancellation terms are governed by our Policies & Terms page, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference.
07 — Disclaimers
No Guarantees of Outcome
This course teaches a method for writing more authentic fictional characters. Results depend on your individual effort, practice, and application of the material.
We make no guarantee that completing this course will result in publication, commercial success, agent representation, or any specific improvement in your writing career or output.
Course materials are provided "as is" for educational purposes. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the fitness of the content for any particular purpose.
08 — Limitation of Liability
Our Liability to You
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ted Baker and myaiwritingcoach.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use this course or its associated tools.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or the course shall not exceed the amount you paid for the course.
09 — Termination
Suspension and Termination of Access
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the course if you breach these Terms of Service, engage in fraudulent activity, or attempt to circumvent platform security.
Termination for breach does not entitle you to a refund. If we terminate your access for reasons other than breach, we will provide a pro-rata refund at our discretion.
You may discontinue use of the course at any time. Refund eligibility is governed by our Policies & Terms.
10 — Privacy
Your Personal Data
How we collect, use, and protect your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms of Service.
By using this course, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.
11 — Changes to These Terms

For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify enrolled students by email.

Jurisdiction and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Ted Baker operates. Any disputes arising under these terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through direct communication with us at ted@myaiwritingcoach.com.
